Turkey Keema Curry | வான் கோழி கீமா

Ground Turkey is an excellent low-fat, low-cholesterol substitute for Ground Lamb. The subtle flavor of turkey meat is complemented by the use of spices and cooked until it achieves a beautiful brown color.

Ingredients :-
 Ground Turkey  1 lb
 Onions (roughly chopped)    1
 Tomato (roughly chopped)    2
 Ginger garlic paste  1 tbsp
 Coriander powder  2 tsp
 Turmeric powder   ¼ tsp
 Chilli powder    1 tsp
 Garam masala  ¼ tsp
 Cumin ¼ tsp
 Cinnamon   1 inch piece
 Cardamom  few
 Cloves   4
 Bay leaf 1
 Salt to taste

Preparation :-
# Wash the minced meat thoroughly and drain water in the colander.
# Chop Onion, tomato, Coriander leaves. Grind ginger garlic to fine paste.
Method :-
1). In a pan heat Oil. When hot add Cumin, Cinnamon, Cardamom and Cloves. Later add Onion and fry till it turns slight brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell leaves. Add the tomato and let it cook till it is mushy.
2). Add the  Garam masala, Chilli powder, Turmeric powder and saute. Now add the washed ground turkey, salt and mix well. Add water and cook covered in medium flame till it gets cooked completely. Stir often to avoid burning the bottom. If you wanted it to be gravy remove from stove once the meat is cooked else fry in medium high till the meat becomes dry. Add the Coriander leaves at the end.
