Oatmeal | ஓட்மீல்

Oats is a hearty breakfast packed with cholesterol-lowering soluble fiber. Leaving the apple skin on contributes even more fiber. Most of the fat is a healthy monounsaturated fat from the nuts. They are filling and delicious.  

Ingredients :-
 Oats  2 cups
 Milk  2 cups
 Cardamom powder   ¼ tsp
 Chopped nuts    few
 Chopped fruits     few
 Sugar | honey  to taste   

Method :-
1. In a microwave safe bowl, mix together Oats and Milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute.(Make sure you use a container big enough so it doesn't boil over) Continue to microwave until mixture starts to boil (about 1 more minute). Carefully remove oatmeal from microwave, add sugar, cardamom and stir.

Top with chopped fruits and nuts. Delightful dish is ready!! Serve warm with additional milk if desired.

# Tastes best when served immediately after preparing it.  
# The thickness of the oatmeal can be varied by adding more or less hot water/milk.
# The bowl can be hot at times, so let it sit in the microwave oven for 1 minute after it is done.
