Savories Batter - Tips

# Add  some hot oil and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in the batter while making pakodas.

# For crispy Pakodas , add little corn flour along with the gramflour ( besan) while preparing the batter.

# Substitute a batter of maida mixed with water and a pinch of baking powder to coat cutlets instead of eggs.
# When preparing murukku or ribbon pakoda, add butter in the batter to get soft and crispy and golden colour murukku.

# When preparing the batter for masal vadai, if it becomes watery, keep the batter in refrigerator for 1 hour. Then the batter will be ready to make vadai. Still if it is watery, the add few spoons of rice flour. This vadai will taste differently.
