Carrot Raita | கேரட் ரைத்தா

Carrot Raita is an Indian salad with yogurt dressing. It is delicious and healthy, makes a great accompaniment for Roti and Pulao varieties. It is prepared with carrot, whisked yogurt and combined with spices. 

Carrot is a great blood purifier and rich in beta carotene which is a strong antioxidant that can prevent cancer.

Ingredients :-
 Carrot (grated)  1
 Yogurt   1 cup
 Roasted cumin powder   1 tsp  
 Chat masala   ¼ tsp   
 Coriander leaves (finely chopped)      1 tbsp 
 Salt  to taste  

Method :-

1). In a mixing bowl, whisk yogurt with 1/4 cup of water till smooth. 

2). Beat salt and cumin powder along with curd. Then add grated carrots and combine well. 
3). Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle chat masala. 
Carrot Raita is ready !! Serve with your meal !!

Notes :-

# Also add mint leaves for good flavor.
# Avoid using sour curd.
# Cumin powder is available ready-made. If not dry roast 2-3 tbsp of jeera/cumin seeds, powder it finely and store it.
