Rava Ladoo is easy & delicious sweet. This melt-in-the-mouth delicacy makes a perfect giftbox-sweet and definitely a crowd pleaser !
|Rava / Semolina||¾ cup|
Cashews & Raisins
|Cardamom Powder||generous pinch|
|Warm Milk||1- 2 tbsp|
1). Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a pan, roast cashews and raisins until golden and crisp. Keep it aside.
2). In a low flame, add the remaining ghee and roast the Rava. Keep stirring till its well roasted and aroma starts coming out. Allow it to cool.
4). If you are unable to hold the mixture and shape it into a ball, then slowly add the warm milk little by little. Keep mixing it well, so that the dough consistency is good enough to make balls.
5). Quickly gather and squeeze a handful of the mixture between your fingers and palm to form small balls. Form them into round balls by pressing gently but firmly. Allow it to cool and store it in an airtight container.
Enjoy the laddoo's studded with ghee-roasted cashews and raisins.
# While making ladoos, Make sure your palms are greased to ensure they have no cracks and are firm and smooth.
# You can also add grated coconut for variation, but it reduces the shelf life.
# To avoid burning, roast the rava in slow flame.
# If you want the ladoos to be in smooth texture, finely grind the rava after roasting it.
# Do not add too much milk, it will become soggy. Then you wont be able to make balls. Pour milk little by little and check if it reaches the correct consistency.
# The Laddoos will become firmer / harden after some time.
