Aval Ladoo is simple and healthy sweet variety prepared during festival seasons. It is easy to prepare with just three simple ingredients. There are many versions in preparing this.
|Aval | Poha||1 cup|
|Brown Sugar||½ cup|
|Cardamom powder||½ tsp|
1). Dry roast the poha until they are crispy, keep stirring so that it roasts evenly. Make sure not to burn or over-roast the aval and change its color. Switch off and let it cool completely and transfer it to blender. Grind the roasted aval to a fine powder and keep aside.
# Make sure to powder it to a fine powder otherwise it will be difficult to shape the ladoo's.
# I have used Jaggery, you can also use white sugar.
# You can also reduce the amount of ghee and add little warm milk to shape the ladoos. But ladoos using gives more shelf life when you ghee.
# I have used thin variety aval, You can use thick variety or red aval and follow the same procedure.
# Over-roasted / burnt aval will taste bitter. So keep an eye when dry roasting the aval.
