Watermelon Juice | தர்பூசிணி ஜுஸ் | Dharbushini Juice

Watermelon needs no introduction and is a universal favorite. It is an important addition for a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. Also it is rich in antioxidants that help to prevent kidney stones, cancers and cardiac ailments.
Another benefit is that watermelon is a great source of potassium, which helps to regulate blood pressure levels keeping your heart healthy.

Watermelon Juice is another great summer cooler that is prepared using cubed watermelon, and honey/sugar. Simply superb! Watermelon juice is essential as a preventive against bone loss.
Ingredients :-
 Watermelon (deseeded and chopped )    2 cups   
 Lemon juice    1 tbsp
 Sugar     to taste
 Salt  pinch 

Method : -
1). Cut the watermelon in to two half's, de-seed it. Scoop out the red pulpy layer and chop it roughly into pieces. Discard the outer white layer.

2. Put everything in a blender and blend it well. (You need not add water as the water content in watermelon is high)

3. Refrigerate it for sometime and serve chilled. Among all summer treats, juicing watermelon ranks highest in terms of popularity, taste and nutrition content. This sweet, juicy and fleshy fruit is a wholesome snack and packs in nature’s goodness in every drop.
Notes :-
1. Make sure to have the juice fresh as taste may differ if not.
2. You can replace sugar with honey.
3. Adding salt gives a nice punch.
